DC2 is in the child.contoso.com domain and is closest to Site3, use DC2. Tool to use to create the IFM source: Use Ntdsutil to create the IFM media. First oart of the answer is DC2. An excerpt from MS doc: The media that you use to create additional domain controllers must be taken from a domain controller in the same domain as the domain of the new domain controller.
